Ultrasound Update

I just got back from my ultrasound at American Fork Hospital with the doctors from Maternal/Fetal Medicine at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center. Everything looks good still, other than her heart. I will meet back with them in a month for another ultrasound and they will schedule an induction date with the University of Utah Hospital for about one week early--around the 19th or 20th unless there are other complications. The doctor also had me do a Non-Stress Test where they monitor the baby's movements and heartbeat for about 30 minutes. Everything looked good there too. I will have a Non-Stress Test on a weekly basis from now on. Thanks to everybody for all of your prayers in our behalf. Things look good for now and we will just keep counting down the days!

About Us

We had our fourth child March 20, 2008. She had Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS). Gracie had her first surgery, the Norwood, at 4 days old. She was scheduled for her second surgery, the Glenn, on 2-12-09 but it was determined that her heart was too sick and the surgery would be too risky. Gracie needed a heart transplant to live. A heart became available after being listed for only THREE DAYS. She had a heart transplant on 2-22-09, we thought it was a miracle and she was finally getting some GOOD news for a change!! Unfortunately, the heart didn't work and she came out of surgery on life support (ECMO). After exhausting all possibilities to save Gracie's life, she passed away on March 2, 2009. We love our Gracie Girl and look forward to seeing her again. Families Are Forever!
