Spoke To Soon
Well, I spoke WAY to soon about not wanting to change Gracie's feeding tube. Right after I posted I thought it would be nice to take Gracie out on the front porch for some fresh air. I was talking to my neighbor while Gracie was coughing, wretching and gagging and noticed that her feeding tube looked different. I then noticed the black mark that used to be right at her nostril was about 8 inches down. I immediately pulled it out but there was not much to pull, it was most of the way out already. The poor girl, this all happened during a feed. No wonder she was gagging so bad, the milk was basically dripping down the back of her nose!! The anxiety of putting a new tube in almost brought me to tears. I could barely get the courage to do it again. With Tom's help holding her, it went down like a charm. The experience was much better than my first time in the hospital. I don't think I will be as intimidated the next time I have to do it. Although right about now I'm thinking that I am way overworked and underpaid......I'm sure I'd have a lot of company in that category!!

Oh, Michele, I'm sure that was hard but I'm glad that it went smoothly. She looks so adorable in those pictures. Like I've said before, I love her eyebrows! She's a darling baby. Our love and prayers are with you constantly. We love you, Susan
Sorry you had to do this. I am sure if I would be able to something like that. Anyways, I am glad that she is gaining weight. Go Gracie!!!!
Good company, too! You are so strong, Michele! Gracie is so lucky to have you as her mommy! She looks so beautiful in her tub-sling...just hanging out!
You all stay in our prayers daily...it's such a blessing to me so see her precious face!
Heart hugs~ Rebecca
I can't imagine doing the things you are doing. Just think of how far you've come. You are changing a feeding tube! That is quite an accomplishment that I'm sure you never thought you'd be doing. Nice Job SuperMom! Now go take a nap! If it were me, I know my nerves would have me exhausted.
Glad the feeding tube experience turned out positively this time! What a nasty thing to have to do though. I'm glad she likes her bath - it must be so wonderful for her to finally experience that. You are just amazing! Gracie is so lucky to have you!
It was great to see more pics. Glad she is doing well. I was a little nervous when I saw the title of the post though. I cannot imagine all that you have to do and how hard and tiring it must be but you and your family are all in our prayers. I am sure everyone that has helped would love to keep helping. Wish I lived closer :) Take care!
Oh my gosh! So sad for Gracie and for you! Did she pull it out? I'm so glad that it went well for you. You really are amazing Michele! I LOVE her bath photo. It's so weird how she looks so much bigger in the pictures than she is in real life. I love her so much! I pray for you guys everyday and look forward to many more times with Gracie.

I think you are overworked and underpaid too. I think of you often and pray not only for Gracie but that you will find the strength to carry on. I continue to put your names in the temple each week.
It sounds like you are definitely more overworked than most of us right now. The blessings will be worth it - already are, but I bet it's hard. Good job with the feeding tube! Go Mom!
YOU ARE BRAVE! Look at all the skills your gaining.
Oh my gosh! I can't believe the things you have to do! What an amazing mom you are. The way you are able to take care of Gracie is so inspiring! But not surprising. You are good at everything you do. Gracie is so blessed to have you taking care of her like you do.
