Heart Mommy said...: I didn't sleep last night thinking of you all... I know she will do a great today, We are checking on you often and hope your holding up well... We know that she has angels attending her while your family can't be there right there.... I was never prepared enough to see my OWN child with all those lines and machines...But this is her first step to coming getting better and coming home... best wishes...Brynn; March 24, 2008 at 10:24 AM

About Us

We had our fourth child March 20, 2008. She had Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS). Gracie had her first surgery, the Norwood, at 4 days old. She was scheduled for her second surgery, the Glenn, on 2-12-09 but it was determined that her heart was too sick and the surgery would be too risky. Gracie needed a heart transplant to live. A heart became available after being listed for only THREE DAYS. She had a heart transplant on 2-22-09, we thought it was a miracle and she was finally getting some GOOD news for a change!! Unfortunately, the heart didn't work and she came out of surgery on life support (ECMO). After exhausting all possibilities to save Gracie's life, she passed away on March 2, 2009. We love our Gracie Girl and look forward to seeing her again. Families Are Forever!
