Good Times With The Old 'Hood

I had another great baby shower last night at Archibald's restaurant with some dear friends from my old neighborhood. We had a yummy dinner and I got a lot of cute things with some great gift cards. I have been blessed with the greatest friends in the world. I am really lucky. Thanks gals!!

About Us

We had our fourth child March 20, 2008. She had Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS). Gracie had her first surgery, the Norwood, at 4 days old. She was scheduled for her second surgery, the Glenn, on 2-12-09 but it was determined that her heart was too sick and the surgery would be too risky. Gracie needed a heart transplant to live. A heart became available after being listed for only THREE DAYS. She had a heart transplant on 2-22-09, we thought it was a miracle and she was finally getting some GOOD news for a change!! Unfortunately, the heart didn't work and she came out of surgery on life support (ECMO). After exhausting all possibilities to save Gracie's life, she passed away on March 2, 2009. We love our Gracie Girl and look forward to seeing her again. Families Are Forever!
