Happy Easter!

Just a quick note to tell everybody that Gracie has her surgery scheduled tomorrow morning at 7:30a.m. It will take them about one hour to get her all prepped and then they will start surgery at around 8:30a.m. It will take until 1:30 or 2:30 and then we can see her about 45 minutes to one hour after that.

We had a great day here today. I tried to post pictures earlier but it did not work. I will try to post them tomorrow on my long agonizing wait in the waiting room. Our kids were able to see her and all of them got to hold her. I have some darling pictures.

Please pray for our sweet Gracie. We are very hopeful that all will go well. Thanks for all of your prayers and concern.

I'm off to go hold my sweet baby for a little while until we have to leave her for the night. Goodnight everybody!

We know our Heavenly Father's will will be done and we put our Faith in Him, and know that He is protecting Gracie and watching over her. Tom and Michele have such positive attiudes about everything. The Lord Bless Both of you today, and pour out His Spirit upon You and Upon Gracie.

About Us

We had our fourth child March 20, 2008. She had Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS). Gracie had her first surgery, the Norwood, at 4 days old. She was scheduled for her second surgery, the Glenn, on 2-12-09 but it was determined that her heart was too sick and the surgery would be too risky. Gracie needed a heart transplant to live. A heart became available after being listed for only THREE DAYS. She had a heart transplant on 2-22-09, we thought it was a miracle and she was finally getting some GOOD news for a change!! Unfortunately, the heart didn't work and she came out of surgery on life support (ECMO). After exhausting all possibilities to save Gracie's life, she passed away on March 2, 2009. We love our Gracie Girl and look forward to seeing her again. Families Are Forever!
