We Have A Date

I just got back from my ultrasound with the Maternal/Fetal Medicine Clinic and everything still looks good. They have scheduled me to be induced on Thursday, March 20th at 7:30 a.m. Hopefully our little lady won't decide to come any sooner. They estimated her weight today at 7 lbs. 3 oz., so hopefully she will come out big, fat and healthy for surgery!! At least that is my goal for her. Thanks for all of your prayers and kind words on our behalf.

Christina said...: March 20th is the first day of spring (and my oldest daughter's birthday!). I think that is a wonderful day to welcome your new miracle.

I am also glad to hear they think she is a good weight.

We will be thinking of you the next few weeks and hopping Gracie cooperates by staying put until your induction!

About Us

We had our fourth child March 20, 2008. She had Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS). Gracie had her first surgery, the Norwood, at 4 days old. She was scheduled for her second surgery, the Glenn, on 2-12-09 but it was determined that her heart was too sick and the surgery would be too risky. Gracie needed a heart transplant to live. A heart became available after being listed for only THREE DAYS. She had a heart transplant on 2-22-09, we thought it was a miracle and she was finally getting some GOOD news for a change!! Unfortunately, the heart didn't work and she came out of surgery on life support (ECMO). After exhausting all possibilities to save Gracie's life, she passed away on March 2, 2009. We love our Gracie Girl and look forward to seeing her again. Families Are Forever!
