Going in the Right Direction

Gracie is still doing well. She is down to a 2 on her high flow nasal cannula. This is about the same level of support as a regular oxygen nose cannula, so it is a very good sign that she is doing well at a 2. The doctor just told me that they will transition her to the regular nasal cannula tomorrow and if she does well all day tomorrow and into Friday, they would possibly move her to the third floor that day. So we will wait and see!! They changed her wound vac and the plastic surgeon said that it looked good. The high flow nasal cannula is the only thing that is keeping her from the third floor at this point. It looks like we may actually be on our way. Keep your fingers crossed!!

It won't be long until Gracie will be home. We are so grateful for the care the Doctor's and Nurses are givng Gracie. Everyone has been so kind and knowing so many are helping in so many ways has given us the strenth and ability to get through these emotional days. We Love our Gracie Jean.

Wow! I still marvel at how far this little princess has come! What a journey she has had and it's so wonderful that home is looking closer and closer! But I guess it's one step at a time so we will pray for the 3rd floor first. Has anyone prepared the nurses up there for "who" is coming?

Wonderful news! I have no doubt that her only direction is upwards from here on out. She has made us all believe in miracles!

I am hoping that she will be there by the 20th to celebrate her two month birthday on the 3rd floor! Wouldn't that be remarkable!?

You guys continue to amaze us. We are happy to hear about her continued progress. Thanks!

I'm so happy to hear that Gracie is doing so fantastic!! She'll be home before you know it. She'll be off that high flow cannula before you know it. You deserve some privacy and rest with your baby girl.

Keep fighting little Gracie, we are all crossing our fingers and toes and constantly praying for you. One step at a time, third floor then home!
By the way, anytime you want to put me on the schedule for your other kids, I am ready.
