I was reading an excerpt of President Thomas S. Monson's talk given at Women's Conference and thought I would share parts of it that impressed me. His talk was titled "Enjoy the Journey"
"Send that note to the friend you've been neglecting; give your child a compliment and a hug; say 'I love you' more; always express your thanks. Never let a problem to be solved become more important than a person to be loved. Friends move away, children grow up, loved ones pass on. It's so easy to take others for granted, until that day when they're gone from our lives and we are left with feelings of 'what if' and 'if only'...Let us relish life as we live it, find joy in the journey and share our love with friends and family. One day, each of us will run out of tomorrows. Let us not put off what is most important."
"Our mortal life was never meant to be easy or consistently pleasant. Our Heavenly Father, who gives us so much to delight in, also knows that we learn and grow and become refined through hard challenges, heartbreaking sorrows, and difficult choices. Each one of us experiences dark days when our loved ones pass away, painful times when our health is lost, feelings of being forsaken when those we love seem to have abandoned us. These and other trials present us with the real test of our ability to endure. A fundamental question remains to be answered by each who runs the race of life: Shall I falter, or shall I finish? To finish life's race involves enduring through challenges and trials to the very end of life itself."

I love that! Thank You! I needed that today.
I really do need to try and find more joy in my journey...because there is so much good around me.
Especially the good health of Miss Gracie. She brightens my day...thanks.

Thank you so much for that reminder! With all the end of year concerts and things that my kids have, I have to constantly remind myself to enjoy these moments and not just rush through them and wish they were over. You are an inspiration to me, I hope that you are holding up under this stress as well as you appear to be :)
Thank you! I needed to hear that!!! I don't even know you but I admire your strength and hope that if I ever had to face a challenge with one of my children I would be a strong and faithful and couragous as you! Thanks for all you have done for me and my family! I am so glad Gracie is doing so well! My prayers are still with you!
Those words are beautiful. The last comment pretty much sums up the last two years of my life. Being at Primary's were both some of the happiest and hardest days of my life. Losing Two babies within a year and a month were also the hardest parts of my life. But being a mother for those twelve weeks were the best twelve weeks of my life, and I would not trade the experiences I have gained from having them for anything. When I do have children that I will raise on this earth, I think I will be slower to anger and tell them I love them more. Thank-you Michelle for being an inspiration to us!

I haven't commented on your blog until today, but I've been reading and watching and praying for your little girl. I found out about your blog from my aunt Rhenon Sannar. If I'm understanding our relation correctly, your husband's grandmother (Nola Hunt) and my grandfather (Thaine Taylor) were brother and sister. It's been a rough week for me, so I needed that lovely message you posted here, and although we may never meet (we're in Seattle and rarely get to Utah), I wish you and your family all the best. I can tell you are a special family.
Ok, it's these kinds of posts that keep me addicted to this site (and to see updates of your sweet Gracie, of course!). I love that quote! Thank you!

Beautiful post....thank you. We continue to pray for Gracie
I loved that! I remember thinking of your family a lot during this past G.C. As you were right in the thick of things with sweet Gracie. Also loved Elder Ballard's talk on mothers. Thanks for your post! See you tonight!
Hug that baby!
Love, Kim
