Get Some Sleep

We are here and have talked to the transplant doctor and our surgeon and it looks like they won't take her back into surgery until about 5:00 a.m. So we're looking forward to a long restfull night, yeah right!!! I am still freaking out!!! We are nervous and excited and scared and happy. Please continue to pray for our sweet GG!

WE will certainly pray for your sweet and beautiful Gracie. We are also members of IHH. Our little Preslie is 5 1/2 months old. She has Down Syndrome and ASD. We hope you find comfort this night and have confirmation that our Heavenly Father is there and loves you all so much. Our prayers will continue to be with you!

I've been a follower of Gracie's blog from the beginning....how fantastic! I am so happy for her and for your family. I opened up your blog and let out a little scream of excitement when I read the good news. You are in my prayers! Come on, Gracie!!!

Isn't amazing how you can feel all those emotions at once. I am so glad that Gracie gets this chance at life. It is her new begining and she will now get that chance to be a healthy little girl. I guess that is why they call it the "Second Chance Club". You will be amazed at what a healthy heart will do for her and how quickly you will notice a change. The first thing that I noticed with Kaidence is that her skin was PINK again!!! Good luck getting some sleep (in your lovely parent room). I think I layed awake all night and stared at the ceiling.

Alysia (Grace's Mom) alerted us that Gracie will be getting her new heart! We are so excited for you. Our little Grace has been a different baby since her new heart last August. No more blue fingers and toes, no more frowns. Our prayers are with you. You will have one anxious day tomorrow, but those doctors and nurses are angels. They will give you hourly updates and they will work another miracle, I am sure. All the best to all of you!

We are so excited over here!!! It will be hard to sleep tonight or function at all tomorrow! My heart is full of love for sweet Gracie and for the amazing and selfless donor family. What a blessing!!! This is a good day! P.S. Alan has been instructed to get me out of the bath the next time there is an important phone call!

Oh wow - I am so glad your wait wasn't very long! We are praying for Gracie, your family and the family who is giving you this very special gift.

We have been reading back a little bit on your blog and it sounds like we were in the hospital at the same time you were when she was born. Carter was born March 31 and was released May 29 from the hospital - but we weren't in PICU so we probably didn't ever see you. Carter has down syndrome, ASD, VSD, and PDA.

We pray all goes well tonight - good luck - Gracie is strong! May Heavenly Father give you comfort and peace.
