Dr. K just came in and it looks like there was a small misunderstanding. We were told that Gracie's heart got here at 5:00a.m. Dr. K. told us that 'the team' flew out to the undisclosed hospital and have just barely gotten to see the heart. The heart looks really good but they have not taken it out yet. They have to coordinate with all the other teams that are there for the other organs. The other teams have to be ready to go because the heart is taken first and then the other teams follow. I hope I don't sound careless with all these details. We are SO grateful to this precious family for giving our baby life when they have just lost theirs. They will never know what they mean to us. Maybe some day we will be able to contact them.
Dr. K. said he expects to make the incision at around 10:45. He will then do the surgery for about 1 1/2 to 2 hours. He said someone will let us know when they have made the incision. We will post later. Love to everyone out there praying their HEARTS out for our girl!!

O My Goodness!!! I didnt get on my computer for one day....(well I tried but it is on the blitz and I couldn't get an internet connection yesterday!) and Gracie is getting a heart!!! Wow what a miracle! We will pray the surgery goes well! Sending lots of love your way!

WOW! I didn't believe my Google Reader, so I had to come over to the blog to make sure I my eyes weren't tricking me. Yeah! I'm so excited for you and little Gracie too. As I was reading your posts about having to be back I the PICU again with no end in sight my heart was aching for you. I can't imagine having to take our little Alice back and then not know when you're going to get out of there. Prayer is truly miraculous. Yeah Gracie!
I am just so overcome with excitement for you. And saying prayers for the family who lost their little one...
I can't get your family out of my mind today. You are in my prayers, as well as the donors family. I can't help but feel overwhelmed by the reality of heavenly fathers plan for each of us. We never know what is going to be required of us. All our love.
