Dr. Kouretas just came into the waiting room and told us that all the lines are in and they are just waiting for the team to assemble. He expects to start the surgery at about 10:00a.m. Thanks for all the prayers!!!!
p.s. We are enjoying the waiting room ALL TO OURSELVES!!!! Last time, we were the first ones in the waiting room and the last ones to leave. It was hard to sit through family after family leaving after the doctor came to tell them that the 'surgery for the tubes in their babies ears went well' etc. etc. I silently thought to myself "Do you know what I would do to be here for tubes in my baby's ears????" But we are so lucky to have some EXCELLENT surgeons taking care of our girl. We will post later.

Prayers are answered!! GO Gracie! We will pray for the surgeons today and for little Gracie!!
Go Gracie! Way to hold on strong until your new heart arrived. Our prayers are with you and the family the lost their little one. Good luck with surgery.
I'm so happy for Gracie. My little guy had to get tubes in his ears a year after having open heart surgery and I can remember sitting in the waiting room wondering how many parents were in there waiting for news about heart surgery. My family has Gracie in our thoughts and prayers, especially today. We are hopeful that things will continue to go well.

Gracie obviously has a great purpose here on earth! Her first was to teach many of us greater faith! Tom and Michele you have taught so many of us how to endure trials. We pray for Gracie, the doctors, the donor family, and your entire family.
Gracie is in our prayers, and so is the whole family. We love you guys and are thrilled for Gracie's new heart!
