Gracie's new heart is in and beating!!! They are done with the aortic repair. They now have to put in pacing wires, do an echo, de-cannulate and close her chest. So we have a ways to go but this is a BIG hurdle we have jumped. Go GRACIE GIRL!
I don't think I have ever been so grateful for the internet and blogs then I am right now. (thanks Michele - you don't know how many lives you have touched by this) I can't seem to do anything else. You GO GRACIE! Such great news the heart is beating. (and of course even more grateful for her new Heart, doctors, donor family, her cute parents etc. etc. etc. :-)

Great news! I am calling my sister every time there is an update (she's in your old ward) and she steps out of Primary to get the news and passes it on to others at church who are also anxiously waiting. There are a lot of people pulling for Gracie today!

I my oh my!!! I have been praying so hard for a heart for Gracie by her 1st birthday! Who would have thought it would be so soon. What a miracle! Another one!!!! I am so happy for you guys right now. Glad I got on to check on things!!!!! What an amazing story. Oh my gosh I am seriously so happy right now! We love you Gracie!!!!!!!

Exciting new! I have been glued to this computer waiting to hear that her new heart is beating. How absolutely thrilling.
