AMAZING!!!! Hang in there. I get what you were saying about the waiting room. We thought the same thing when Kaidence was getting the "Berlin Heart" and we watched everyone else coming and going. We also had the waiting room to ourselves when Kaidence was transplanted. I think only because it was 4Am Sunday morning and everyone was home for Christmas. It was a peaceful change and gave me some good time to just think. Our prayers are also with Dr. K and all others helping to care for her. He is a great surgeon.

We know Gracie has many angels with her and the surgeons right now! What a wonderful testimony to prayer. Love the updates. You will be in our prayers all day.

Still glued to the computer. You are so amazing to keep us all posted through the millions of emotions that you must be going through. I don't think I have ever fasted or prayed with more intent (except for maybe when Gracie had her first surgery.) We're ALL here for you. Hope you can feel our hugs!

Lots of good thoughts and prayers being sent for Gracie, the donor family and the surgical team.

I won't be able to comment for a while as we are on our way out the door for church, but I'll be sneaking in peeks to your blog on Brendan's phone.

Michelle, this is a totally different comment than any of the others, but from an English teacher's point of view, you are an excellent writer. The information that you write is clear and concise, but more important, it consists of deep emotional feeling that is conveyed to us, the readers.
Some day Gracie will read all this in amazement. She will feel the same emotions we do as she reads about her first year of life. Her mom is a many-talented woman!

My name is Rebecca Call and I have been following little Gracie since her birth. Our 3 year old son, Jared, had a kidney transplant a little over a year ago. I met Kaidence's mom during the many trips to the lab following transplant and found your blog from hers. A transplant is an amazing experience and I too could only describe it as surreal. Gracie is so sweet and her little spirit, as well as your amazing family, have been a blessing in my life. These children of ours, who have to deal with so much physical pain from birth, are such sweet, strong, amazing, little spirits. I am so very excited and grateful for you and Gracie! We will be praying for you all!

love,
Rebecca

ps. We live in Highland also!

Such a miracle! We are all praying. I talked again about little Gracie in "good News" in Relief Society and they all gasped when they heard she was getting a new heart. So wonderful and thanks for updating us so frequently.

Thanks for your updates as we are glued to the computer and will be throughout the day! It is very surreal to think she is receiving her new heart right now!!! I hope someone brought some anti-anxiety pills for you all in the waiting room.
