Not Today

Gracie had one spontaneous trial last night that did not go well. She was very agitated and her blood work came back with some levels elevated. So, they decided to NOT extubate her today. They are going to let her rest today. She is on a spontaneous trial right now and is going good. She also did well on her trial this morning. She is sleeping soundly. She must have had a good little sponge bath last night because this morning her hair is all fluffy and she has a new blue bow. We will take a boring day anytime!!

You've said this many times but Gracie seems to do things HER way. (usually harder, right?) Hopefully the next couple days she'll get it out. Then, I'm sure there'll be a line of famiy wanting to hold her ;)

I'm glad that you had a nice day Sunday and that Max and Tom got to hold Gracie. We will hope that Monday will continue to be "boring" and they can extubate her soon. Keep hanging in there. We are all pulling for you.

Max it looks like you are a SUPER big brother, and she loved every minute of being in your arms. We are so happy you got to hold her. :) Your family is in our prayers all the time!

When she is ready, she will surprise us all!! Maybe in a couple of days. Can't wait to see pictures of her without the breathing tube.
