Gracie was awake briefly a little while ago and I snapped about 10 pictures and this was the best one out of the bunch. She is still on a little bit of pain medications that keep her drowsy and a little glassy eyed when she is awake.Gracie was throwing up again this morning, she did it a couple of times. They decided to get an x-ray of her tummy and it showed that her feeding tube was looped around a couple of times inside her stomach and then it did not go deep enough into her intestines. So, they took it out and put a new one in. This time on x-ray it looks great. She has not thrown up since but they also have not bugged her since then either. We'll see.
They are still focusing on getting her swelling to come down. She has been 'fluid negative' yesterday and today, which is good.
She is doing well and moving right along. They have come down on the amount they were feeding her because of her issues with throwing up. They will gradually increase them again and see how she tolerates them.

Wow! Look at her with her eyes open! She is such a little beauty. I am glad to hear that they think they have the feeding tube issues worked out. It was amazing to she her today! Wow, 4 weeks ago we didn't think Gracie would be where she is. But then again 3 weeks ago we didn't think she would be here at all. We will just take each day as it comes. I have concluded life is just crazy. I don't know what is around the next corner, so I will just try to make everyday the best day. Thanks for the life lessons Gracie!

I hope they fixed the throwing up problem. Happy 4 weeks birthday, Gracie. On top of putting Gracie's name in the Redland's temple again last night, I asked my fellow workers to add her to their prayer list. We are all pulling for you Gracie.

You don't know me, but I have been following Gracie's journey from the beginning. When I see pictures of Gracie with her beautiful eyes open they just seem to touch my soul. She is so brave.
