So Far, So Good

I think I titled another post just like that--but it's true, so far, so good. They have taken three different 'blood gases' where they check levels of different things and they look good. She slept for a couple of hours but is awake again and laying in her daddy's arms! The plastic surgeon came by and picked off her scab that was on her chest. Gross, I know. He said it would promote better wound healing and they bandaged it up again. She has not been bandaged for several days and I have not posted a picture of it because I didn't want it to scare anyone. It looks pretty bad but hopefully it will heal up nicely and I will post a picture at a later time when it looks better. So, thanks for all of your prayers, she's doing so well!

That's awesome! Any thoughts about when she might get to go home? Ali saw the picture and said, "Wow, she really IS a miracle baby!" It's so comforting at the end of each day to come home and log on to the blog and read the news! Hang in there.

We saw Max at the Pinewood Derby tonight. He saw Logan (3 weeks older than Gracie) and said something like, "He's going to be ready for a girlfriend pretty soon." Keep getting better Gracie, we love hearing about your progress, and Logan needs a cute girlfriend!

We are so happy your little Gracie is doing so well. We all feel the Lord's hand in changing our lives while Gracie goes through this physical trial. Just know that through all the pain you are going through watching the whole thing, lives are being changed and testimonies are being strengthened.

I have been wondering if they weigh Gracie on a regular basis and if her weight changes? I don't remember reading anything about that.

Anyway, thanks for your amazing example. Tiff's aunt Teri

This is wonderful. We visited the PICU yesterday to see a couple of heart friends. We did not dare bother you, but just know that we were thinking about you and how Gracie the Miracle was doing. I am so happy she was finally able to be extubated. The 40 minutes Ryker was breathing-tube less were wonderful. We recorded his little cry, and we all had tears when he let that first little squeak after 7 weeks of having that wretched thing in. I pray she does not have to have it again for a very long time!
Hugs and prayers,
