Small Update

Dr. Kouretas came by and talked to Tom while I had stepped away for a minute. He told Tom that we are not going to do anything until Friday. We are going to let her rest again tonight and tomorrow, tweak a few things and make sure she is in optimal condition to come off the ECMO machine. I think this time it's real. On Friday, Dr. K is going to tighten the SANO and remove the cannulas and let us see what she does on her own no matter how she is looking. So in a nut shell, she is coming off of the ECMO machine on Friday and we will see which way she chooses to go.

I know this all is such an overwhelming feeling. Take lots and lots and pictures the next few days of everyone with Gracie that come to visit, even her nurses. I know we are hoping and praying for all to go well, but I discovered that I did not have pictures of Ryker with all his aunts and uncles. I feel like it is best to prepare for the worst but hope for the best!
Continued prayers,
Mike and Emily Gourley

Hopefully this will give her the time and rest she needs!! We have been thinking of you all day. Thanks for the postings and updates. My heart is full of love for Gracie and the miracle she has been. Over the past 13 days I have felt so much gratitude for the miracle of life and the gift of eternal life. I have a special place in my heart for Gracie and the many gifts she is offering to myself and so many people. We will continue to pray for her and hope and pray that there is a miracle for her little heart.

Wow, what an emotionally exhausting experience this must be for you! We have all been following the blog (just about) hourly and the girls are very concerned and curious. We are constantly thinking of you and are sending you and Gracie positive thoughts and vibes. Lots of love, the Bergerons (in Maine)

Tom and Michele,
We will continue to keep you in our prayers and know that little Gracie is a blessing in our lives. She has brought so much love already in her short time here. I'm sure she knew what an amazing family she was coming to and was so happy for the chance to be with you, no matter how long that may be. We are so blessed to know of the Lord's plan for us. Love you, Susan

Hopefully in the next few days they will get all the kinks worked out and she will pull through! We sure love her and you guys and know this time is tough, let us know if or how we can help.

Fridays are better for miracles anyway!! Oh she is such a sweet baby! Kiss her, oh and my favorite thing about her is her chubby little legs...squeeze em! They're darling!
I know Heavenly Father is watching over you and that sweet baby. It wasn't long ago that my cousin had a premie at PCMC..she was born with 19 weeks to go. That place is amazing. Our prayers and thoughts are still with you.

Dear Tom, Michele and Family,
I have been following your blog also, through a link from a friend. I want you to know that your precious daughter has touched the lives of so many people you don't even know. Your family is such an amazing example of faith and love, one cannot help but be touched by the spirit. I wanted to let you know that your family has been in our prayers also. I shared your story with my mother who is a member of The Mormon Tabernacle Choir. She was so touched by Gracie's story, that she would like to put your daughters name on the Choir's prayer roll, if that would be alright with you.
In the short time she has been on this earth, she has touched so many. I believe that in itself makes her a miracle and a true gift from God. Thank You so much for sharing your faith and love and your beautiful daughter.

I know you do not know me, but I have been following little Gracie from Kaidence's blog. I met Kaidence and Shauntelle in Dec in the PICU. Our Baby boy Mason was born on Nov.30. He has HLHS too. Although his was not diagnosed in utero so we had a very scary day his 3rd day of life when he crashed, was lifelighted, and then diagnosed. And at that time he was the sickest baby there! He had his frst surgery on Dec. 10 and after riding lots of roller coasters we came home on JAn 10th. And he is diing pretty well. But, oh how I feel for you and am praying for your family. Little Gracie is so beautiful and glows with such a strong happy spirit that I am sure she has already blessed your family in so many ways. May our Heavely Father comfort you this night as you await such an emotional day. Miracles do happen! I count my blessings everday that our miracle Mason is still with us. These heart babies have truly amazing spirits! I am praying for you and am so grateful we have the gospel.
Summer Strickland (sumstrick@gmail.com) We live in Highland also and are friends with the Ingrams also. We almost built in your neighboorhood. small world!)

Brother Gledhill,
I know that prayers are heard and answered sometimes just not the way that we want them to. I have been praying for Gracie and you guys to have peace and comfort. I know Heavenly Father will send his love to you. I am happy that you are my leader and my friend.
Love,

I have been thinking of constantly throughout the day. What a challenging day. We are all sending our love and prayers your way. It is so neat to hear the kids pray for you as they each take their turn to pray. We want the best for you all and pray for Heavenly Fathers will to be done. But oh how we hope Gracie pulls through. You guys are amazing. We all love you.

Gracie Jean,
Little angel baby- here from heaven above;
Do you sense our feelings? Do you feel our love?
We're sorry for your pain and that we cannot hold you near;
But, Oh how much we love you, Little Baby Dear.

From celestial clouds on high your little spirit came
To claim your eternal inheritance; your body and your name.
Every day we pray that your soul will linger still;
But we know that we must all accept our Heavenly Father's will.

You have the spirit of a fighter; a soldier brave and strong;
And we are sorry that your struggle has had to be so long.
But we want you here on earth where we can often say
We love you and we need you every single day.

But if you must go we know you will always be ours;
And that you are a beautiful angel dwelling amid the stars.
So, go or stay, you are forever in our hearts
And together, in heaven, we will never be apart.

Hi, you do not know me, I have been following your blog from Kaidence's. (Who we met in the PICU.)

Gracie's story has touched my heart. After spending quite some time in the PICU and seeing the sweet little babies and families go through these trials is so heart wrenching.
I don't know why these things happen, but I do know that our Father in Heaven loves these sweet little children and is very mindful of them and their families.

I admire the strong faith you have.
You are in our thoughts and prayers.

P.S. I love the pictures you got of little Gracie. They are so sweet. When I read that the nurse, Peggy, helped you, I smiled. We had Peggy as a nurse quite a few times and loved her, she's great.

I am completely overwhelmed by your story. I was directed to your blog through the Price's, our friends living in Switzerland. I can feel from Gracie a profoundly strong, sweet and choice spirit. Who can really understand, save our Heavenly Father, why such a precious thing must endure such difficulties. I cannot imagine the pain of the Mother....my whole heart goes out to Michele and the family. I am a mother of a baby girl and count my blessing every day to have her presence in my life. I feel such overwhelming love for your Gracie and will be keep a constant prayer in my heart for her and the Gledhill family.

Do your best to document every moment of her that you can. If this sweet little one gets better and you want more professional pictures of her please feel free to call me and I'd be honored to help you for no cost at all.

With love and hope,
Carlan McBride

I can't even imagine how hard this is. What a perfectly beautiful baby she is. May you fell peace and the love of our Heavenly Father as Gracie makes this transition. She like Kaidence are incredible spirits. What a privilege for you to be her parents and help her through this process in life. May God be with all of you. Sincerely, Debbie Mitchell

I just wanted to leave a message from the Swindler family. We know of your story through Grant and Arlene. We read this blog everyday, multiple times, and pray for your Gracie and your family many times a day. What a beautiful child. She has become "our Gracie" just as she has so many people all over the world. Your testimonies have touched our hearts and set the example for us. May she be with us for years to come, and if not, may you have peace and comfort from our father in Heaven. We are praying, reading the blog, and waiting right there with you.
